We are your neighbors
We are Townies, and Transplants who weren’t born here, but were drawn to Melrose for the lifestyle it offers.
We have different political viewpoints.
We come from different backgrounds.
We’re blue-collar, white collar and retired-collar.
But we’re united in:
Our desire to see Melrose developed in a way that preserves our City’s warm community feel
Our commitment to ensuring that the development process includes the perspectives of people impacted by the proposed projects
A belief that, when done responsibly, development can be good for Melrose
Our concern that, when done poorly, development can be detrimental to Melrose
Our Organization
We are a small group of neighbors volunteering our time to bring information about these large-scale redevelopment projects to our neighbors and fellow residents of Melrose. We are not sure how, or if, this group will grow.
In the meantime, our ad-hoc steering committee consists of the following Melrose Residents:
